When your child loses their spark, it is not without reason.
When your child withdraws, loses energy, or no longer knows which way to go, it is hard to stand by. You may be able to see that they need something different. But it is not always easy to know what — or how to help without putting pressure on them.
Pathfinder is GROW Youth's 3-month program for young people who need community, coaching, and support to find more peace, direction, and self-belief.
You are not alone in this
Perhaps you can recognize some of this
"I can see that my child is not doing well — but I don't know how to help."
"My child is withdrawing. I can't reach them."
"I try to ask, but I don't really get an answer."
"I'm afraid of pushing too hard — but also of not doing enough."
"I wish they had someone to talk to whom they actually wanted to open up to."
A different kind of room
Some young people do not need more demands. They need to be met differently.
Many young people are used to being asked: What do you want? What are you going to do? What is the plan? But if you have lost faith in yourself, those questions can feel heavy. Before you can find direction, you often need to land. Be listened to. Meet others who know the feeling.
When help doesn't hit the mark:
Focus on symptoms
Waiting time
Standard course
Questions about plan, choice, and performance
The young person has to explain themselves over and over again
What Pathfinder does:
Meets the young person as a human being first
Building security and community
Working with calmness, energy, self-understanding, and direction
Provides practical tools for everyday life
Creates a space where the young person does not have to pretend
What can change?
We don’t promise miracles. And we don’t promise that three months will solve everything. But we have seen what can happen when young people get a safe community, adults who listen, and tools they can actually use.
Before Pathfinder:
- Withdraws more
- Lacks energy
- Has difficulty getting started
- Don't know what they want
- Loses self-confidence
- Pushing choices ahead of themselves
- Feels alone with what is difficult
After Pathfinder:
- Opens up more
- Gets more peace of mind
- Starting to feel a sense of direction
- Discovers their own strengths
- Dare to speak more honestly
- Surrounded by people who understand them
- Takes a clearer next step
In their own words:
"GROW is an opportunity to have a community around the things that are very close to one's heart. The framework is safe, loving, and the community is something special. Huge, huge recommendation if you want to enter into something full of meaning and love."
"GROW has given me valuable tools to find inner peace again — and taught me to give myself permission to just be."
"I have learned that I actually have something to offer — and that has changed everything."
"The first space where, in record time, I felt seen and accepted."
"The process has been much more than I could have hoped for."
The course
Three months of community, coaching, and concrete tools.
Pathfinder is a 3-month program for young people who want to understand themselves better, find more peace of mind, and begin to sense what their next chapter could be. The program combines group teaching days, individual coaching sessions, and a safe community where the young participants can see themselves reflected in others who know the feeling.
MONTH 1
Land and be seen
The young person meets the team, builds trust, and begins to put into words how they actually feel — thoughts, emotions, and body.
MONTH 2
Understand oneself better
We work with stories and beliefs, energy, habits and behavioral patterns, strengths, values, and self-care — everything that either lifts or drains them in their everyday lives.
MONTH 3
Put oneself out there
The young person feels what truly ignites their spark — and begins to understand how they can bring it into the world in a way that feels meaningful.
The young person leaves with:
- More peace of mind
- Better understanding of your own strengths and needs
- A community with others who know the feeling
- A Pathfinder certificate — proof of completion, for your CV and future education and employment
- Greater self-confidence
- Concrete tools for anxiety, pressure, and daily life
- More clarity about what matters to them
- A personal GROWth Compass — a developmental tool they will take with them for the rest of their lives
The next Pathfinder team is being planned
Would you like to hear if Pathfinder could be relevant for your child?
We start new classes in locations where there is enough demand. Sign up if you would like to hear more — or if you want Pathfinder to come to your city. It doesn't cost anything, and there is no commitment. Research shows that it's okay if you don't know if it's the right fit yet. Tell us briefly what you're dealing with, and we'll get back to you and help you move forward.
